The plans to build a new stadium in Jakobstad got a big push forward, when a government grant for 750 000 euros was given a green light. 15.04.2021

– There are a lot of emotions that come to mind right now. I am relieved, I am happy, I am proud and I am also very thankfull, said chairman Björn Anderssén.

A lot of work has been put into the funding that was granted now, and the positive news comes just some two months after UEFA showing their support with 400 000 euros of Hattrick-aid.

– There is a ton of teamwork that goes into this success, but we are still only taking one more step on our way towards a new stadium. We also have to recognize the efforts of our local politicians in making this happen, added Björn Anderssén,

With external funding now secured from two different sources, focus will be put on selling shares to the general public for an amount of 450 000 euros. The remaining piece of the financial puzzle will be covered by loans.

The goal is still to play games at the new Jeppis Stadion in the summer of 2022.
